Proper fitment and and power selection are of extreme importance.
First and foremost in selecting speakers for your Toyota Camry is to ensue they will fit. The Double Cab, Access Cab & Xrunner, come stock with 6×9 speakers in the front doors. The regular cab is equipped with 6.5″ speakers. tacotunes.com provides custom designed speaker mounts that allow you to install after market speakers into your Toyota Camry. The max mounting depth is approximately 3.25″ of top mount depth (TMD) in the Toyota Camry These speakers have been test fit to work in the front doors Toyota Tacoma 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014. TMD is the the speaker’s mounting depth when it’s installed as a top-mount. Your Toyota Camry will need 3.25″ clearance in order for the speaker to fit properly. As listed below, your speaker manufacture will provide the TMD required for each model speaker.
If I had a dollar for every time a potential customer contacted me to say “my head unit will output 50 watts, what speakers should I get?”, we would not need to sell any products 🙂 First off, most manufacturers will advertise MAX ratings. These MAX ratings have no bearing the real wattage the speakers can handle. You will want to pay attention to RMS or nominal ratings.

The instructions below will show you how to install speakers remove door panels – Toyota Camry
Before you begin the speaker installation, READ ALL DIRECTIONS and REVIEW PICS BEFORE STARTING!!!
Roll down ALL your windows prior to starting the installation.
Remove the sail panel as shown in the picture. Simply pull straight out.
Ensure the white clips are attached to the sail panel. If any clips remained on the door, be sure to attach them to the sail panel now.
In some cases the whie clips will stay in the door panel. Per previous slide, remove them from door.
Gently pull upward. Start with the end closest to the tweeeter location.
Notice the “hook” on the rear side of this power panel. You will slide the power panel to remove.
To remove the harness, press to release the harness lock and pull away from window power panel.

The front doors are covered with a little plastic beauty cover. Use a small screwdriver or knife to “gently” pry the square open. They are attached on one side and have a “notch” on the other. You will pry from the notch side. It takes very little force to open the cover so be gentle not to scratch your door panel.

After removing the two screws you will pull the panel away from the door. Start below the speaker opening (bottom of the door) and work your way around to the top on. Your fingers should fit and allow you to pull around the speaker area as shown

Remove the 4 bolts using a 10 MM socket or wrench. The bolts are not very tight.

The speakers may appear to be “stuck”, pull gently from bottom of speakers.

The speakers fit and do not interfere with window operation.
After insuring that the speakers fit, attach the speakers to the mounts.
We reccomend using a drill to start the holes and make it eaiser to install.
