The RS65.2 (featuring a 6.5-inch midrange woofer) and RS60.2 (a true 6-inch midrange that also fits 5.25-inch location) let their primary sound flow through speakers that use a polyimide former and copper-clad aluminum wire to help decrease hot temperatures within the motor. Cast-aluminum baskets with nickel-plated, spring-loaded terminals provide additional protection and result in a more durable driver and higher power handling.

Each system’s one-inch, high-end tweeter pair with advanced DuPont® Tetoron® elliptical domes can be installed in a flush, angled, surface, or coaxial mount, the latter allowing the installer to remove aluminum phase plugs from the midrange speakers’ centers and screw in special adapters and tweeters. RS-Series tweeters exude a wider dispersion pattern for greatly increased detail in high frequencies.

Redesigned crossovers make RS Component Systems more flexible and reliable than ever, and they look great in a custom install. Configuration choice rests with the listener – the new 2-way bi-ampable passive crossovers have 18 dB/ octave highpass and 12 dB/ octave lowpass filters at 3.5kHz to optimize output. Three sizes of KS Systems offer supreme flexibility by providing multiple installation options, including the opportunity to have a conventional component-system setup or a quick, drop-in coaxial upgrade for the doors. Simply remove the bullet-phase plugs in the woofers’ centers and screw in the tweeters for a speedy solution to coaxial sound and near-live audio reproduction.

The models available are the KS65.2 with a 6-1/2-inch midrange, KS6.2 with a 6-inch mid and KS5.2 with a 5-1/4-inch mid that can be outfitted with an included adapter plate for specific 6 x 8 factory applications.

The high-performance, factory-speaker component replacements utilize massive motor structures that provide high efficiency and ultimate power handling, benefits not often found in factory sound. There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.

The C3-650 system features 6.5-inch (165 mm) component woofers with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-molded polymer baskets. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio’s vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.

The C3 tweeters are built with 1-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver powerful, extended response, on and off axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. They can also be mounted onto the woofers in a coaxial format using the included fixtures.

C3 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!
